"And now, LORD, what wait I for? my hope is in Thee." Ps. 39:7
I took a walk today. I needed some time to pray and reflect on some challenging circumstances in my life right now.
"Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise Him for the help of His countenance." Ps. 42:5
I took this picture of our flower bed today. It was an encouraging reminder that THERE IS ALWAYS HOPE.
Why?
Because I was encouraged at the results of something that should have died but was still alive and thriving. Even though we haven't watered or cared for these flowers they survived. The flowers have thrived through the months of June, July and August. By now most of what we plant has usually been overtaken with weeds or dried dead.
"Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD."Ps. 31:24
This pot was another reminder to me.
It was knocked over a while ago. I scooped in as much dirt as I could and than I replanted the flowers and patted it all down.
Soon after my son was weed eating and hit the pot. He wrecked it. As you can see, the flowers were not the least bit concerned. They grew around the damage. These flowers (and the pot) were also neglected but they've thrived.
"Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope." Ps. 16:9
The point is...There is always hope.
When life brings us conditions that we are not accustomed to.
There is always hope.
When we are knocked down, we need to scoop ourselves back up and continue on.
Because there is hope.
When we feel wrecked or broken. There is still hope.
"Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles." Isaiah 40:31
